A photography project by Cátia Castel-Branco, with creative direction by António Branco, Perview was created as part of the Pestana Group’s centenary celebrations of the Valle Flôr Palace, transformed by the Group into one of Lisbon's finest and most beautiful 5-star hotels. The Pestana Palace Hotel opened in 2001 and is the flagship hotel of the Pestana Group, Portugal’s largest hotel chain.
Perview is a coffee table book with about 70 images, all of them captured in the Palace’s majestic rooms, an inspiration for a myriad of possible or imaginary situations that may have taken place at the hotel, captured with a timeless, humorous and at times, controversial visual language. The book fea- tures several Portuguese personalities, including Zé Pedro (musician and member of the Portuguese band Xutos e Pontapés), Felipe Duarte (Actor), Catarina Wallenstein (Actress), Welket Bunguè (Ac- tor), Anabela Moreira (Actress), David Almeida (Actor), Mr. and Mrs. Prietzel (Art dealers), Pedro Espírito Santo (interior designer) among others.
